William Pole-Carew

William Henry Pole-Carew (30 July 1811 – 20 January 1888) was a Cornish politician.

He was educated at Charterhouse School from 1824 to 1828, and then at Oriel College, Oxford, gaining a BA in 1833 and an MA in 1864.

[1] He served as Conservative Member of Parliament for East Cornwall from 1845 until 1852,[1] and unsuccessfully contested Liskeard in 1859.

[1] He died on 20 January 1888 at the Villa Poralto, Cannes and is buried in the parish church at Antony, Cornwall.
