William J. Keating

William John Keating (March 30, 1927 – May 20, 2020) was an American lawyer, businessman and Republican Party politician.

He graduated from St Xavier High School and then served in the United States Navy during World War II.

Keating then served as a judge of the Hamilton County, Ohio Court of Common Pleas from 1964 to 1967.

[2] A founding member of the law firm Keating, Muething and Klekamp, Keating was awarded honorary degrees from the University of Cincinnati (LLD & DHL), Xavier University (LLD), and the College of Mount St Joseph (DHL).

He served as chairman of the board of the Associated Press and was president of the Newspaper Division of Gannett Company, Inc.[citation needed] Keating died on May 20, 2020.
