William K. Dickey (September 12, 1920 – November 3, 2008) was an American lawyer and Republican Party politician who served as Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly and as chairman of the Delaware River Port Authority.
Dickey was born in 1920 in the Westmont section of Haddon Township, New Jersey and grew up in Collingswood.
An eye injury at the age of 16 exempted him from active military service, but after graduating from high school he served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve.
He also supported his family by working full-time on the night shift at the New York Shipbuilding Corporation in Camden.
[4] In 1983, Governor Thomas Kean appointed Dickey to the Board of Commissioners for the Delaware River Port Authority.
