Wola, Masovian Voivodeship

Wola [ˈvɔla] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Czerwińsk nad Wisłą, within Płońsk County, Masovian Voivodeship, in central Poland, on the Vistula river.

[1] It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north-west of Czerwińsk nad Wisłą, 27 km (17 mi) south of Płońsk, and 53 km (33 mi) north-west of Warsaw.

During the German occupation of Poland in World War II, in 1940, the German gendarmerie carried out expulsions of Poles, who were afterwards deported to forced labour, while their houses and farms were handed over to German colonists as part of the Lebensraum policy.
