Woold Homé, or the home of Woold, a British slave trader, is located in southern Togo.
[1] It was a site where slaves awaiting their embarkation were confined, during the clandestine slave trade.
The site is being considered for inclusion in the World Heritage list of sites with "outstanding universal value" to the world.
[2][3] This site was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List on January 8, 2002, in the Cultural category.
