He previously served as Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2021 to 2023, as Commissioner to Hong Kong from 2017 to 2021, and as Ambassador of China to Indonesia from 2014 to 2017.
He attended China Foreign Affairs University for undergraduate studies starting 1981 and graduated with a Bachelor of Law in 1986.
He served as Ambassador of China to Indonesia from 2014 to 2017 and as commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Hong Kong from 2017 to 2021.
