The school was founded in memory of Yue-Kong Pao.

There are three campuses located in the city for primary, secondary, and high school education for children aged 5 to 18.

[3] The school was founded by Anna Sohmen Pao in 2007,[4] who is the eldest daughter of Yue-Kong Pao, along with Tan Fuyun and Philip Sohmen.

For primary and middle school's students, YK Pao offers 'Shanghai Plus' courses, giving students an approach to Shanghai curriculum.

[5][6] For high school students, YK Pao offers Shanghai Plus courses (Y9), IGCSE (Y10), and IB Diploma (Y11–Y12).
