Yandaran, Queensland

Yandaran is a rural town and locality in the Bundaberg Region, Queensland, Australia.

[1] Although predominantly inland, the north-east boundary of the locality is the Coral Sea.

[4] The name Yandaran was probably first applied to the railway station and is believed to be an Aboriginal name meaning watershed.

Due to low student numbers, it closed on 31 December 1942, but reopened on 1 May 1944.

[11] The Yandaran branch of the Queensland Country Women's Association meets at the QCWA Hall at 21 Main Street.
