Yona (Jonathan) Reiss (born 1966 in New York City) is an American rabbi, Torah scholar, attorney, lecturer, and jurist, and the current Av Beth Din of the Chicago Rabbinical Council (cRc).
[1] From 2008 to 2013 Reiss was the Max and Marion Grill Dean of Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS).
Later, he learned in Yeshivat Shaalvim in Israel before graduating summa cum laude from Yeshiva University in 1987 with a BA in philosophy.
From 1992 to 1998, Reiss worked as an associate at the international law firm of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York City.
He is also the executive authority who makes final decisions with regards to the CRC's kosher supervision service.
