Young Township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania

It was named after John Young, the first president judge of Indiana county.

[2] It includes the communities of Clarksburg, Coal Run (or Clune), Elders Ridge, Iselin, McIntyre, Scotland, Watson's Ridge, and West Lebanon, along with the "ghost towns" of Hart Town, Whiskey Run and Nesbitt Run.

As of the census[5] of 2000, there were 1,744 people, 741 households, and 489 families residing in the township.

30.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 16.6% had someone living alone who was sixty-five years of age or older.

For every one hundred females who were aged eighteen or older, there were 91.7 males.
