Zahari Kechik

Zahari bin Kechik[1] (born 1961) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Jeli since November 2022.

He was a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition.

Currently, he is an independent politician since his BERSATU membership ended on 12 June 2024.

[2] On 8 November 2023, Zahari declared his support for the government and leadership of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

They were later joined by the Bukit Gantang and Tanjong Karang MPs, Syed Abu Hussin and Dr. Zulkafperi Hanapi.
