Zimbabwe Academy of Sciences

It addresses subjects such as tropical resources, ecology, and environmental and climate studies.

ZAS was established in October 2004 after the RCZ conducted a study of global science academies.

The formation of ZAS was supported by policymakers consulted by the foundation committee.

The academy was seeking funding from various sources, including the government, the private sector, and international donors.

ZAS also produces the Zimbabwe Science News, a quarterly newsletter that includes news, events, and activities of ZAS and its members, and articles on current scientific issues.
