Zoltán Király

Zoltán Király (born 23 May 1948)[1] is a Hungarian journalist, educator and politician, member of the National Assembly (MP) for Szeged (Csongrád County Constituency V then II) between 1985 and 1994.

He studied pedagogy in the Juhász Gyula Teacher Training College (today part of the University of Szeged) between 1975 and 1979.

He served as a responsible for culture in the Bács-Kiskun County Committee of the Hungarian Young Communist League (KISZ) between 1971 and 1978.

He became a member of the National Assembly in 1985 when he defeated as a spontaneous candidate the party secretary of Csongrád County.

In 2014, Király ran as a Politics Can Be Different (LMP) candidate of local representative in Újbuda for the 2014 municipal election.
