11Eleven Project

[1] Creative Director, Danielle Lauren, was inspired to initiate this project after watching documentary films Koyaanisqatsi and Powaqqatsi back-to-back in Perth in 2000.

[2] Lauren did not pursue the project until 11 years later, when the technology required to make it possible was prevalent in society.

[3] Lauren has listed four main objectives in achieving the 11Eleven Project; to unite the world on a memorable date, to create a time capsule of the world at a stage in time, to reveal the similarities that exist amongst people worldwide, and to raise money and awareness to charities supporting the United Nations Millennium Development Goals.

[7] A preview screening was held in Sydney Town Hall on 21 September 2012 to gather viewer feedback.

Screening locations included Australia, the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Uganda and more.
