1926 Haskell Indians football team

With players from 18 different tribes,[1] the team compiled a 12–0–1 record and outscored opponents by a total of 558 to 64.

[2] Despite missing two games, fullback Mayes McLain, an Irish-Cherokee youth, set all-time single-season records that have never been broken.

[1][3][4] Other key players included tackle and team captain Tom Stidham, tackle Theodore "Tiny" Roebuck, center Albert Hawley, quarterback Egbert Ward, and halfbacks George Levi and Elijah Smith.

On October 30, the stadium was formally dedicated with a 36–0 victory over Bucknell.
