Martina Clausner of East Germany defeated Hungary's Zsuzsa Szentmiklossy for the ladies' title.

Soviet skaters swept the pairs' podium, led by Tamara Moskvina / Alexei Mishin.

The ice dancing title was won by Soviets Irina Grishkova / Viktor Ryzhkin.
