The 1972 Abilene Christian Wildcats football team was an American football team that represented Abilene Christian College (now known as Abilene Christian University) in the Southland Conference during the 1972 NCAA College Division football season.
In their fifth year under head coach Wally Bullington, the team compiled a 3–8 record.
