The 1989 Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils football team represented Mississippi Valley State University as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) during the 1989 NCAA Division I-AA football season.
Led by third-year head coach Kenneth Pettiford, the Delta Devils compiled an overall record of 2–8, with a conference record of 0–7, and finished eighth in the SWAC.
