List of accidents and incidents involving military aircraft (2000–2009)

For this list, the criteria used for a military aircraft will be: any fixed-wing or rotary-wing aircraft that is operated by a governmental organization such as United States Department of Defense or British Armed Forces in either combat or non-combat missions.

The aircraft will fall into categories such as fighter, bomber, attack, search and rescue, transport or training.

[93] A Kenya Air Force Harbin Y-12 crashed in Marsabit County in Kenya as it approached Marsabit air strip killing 14 occupants, including a number of politicians.

[114] A Fuerza Aérea Venezolana Cessna T206H (FAV-2807) flying from Puerto Ayacucho to La Esmeralda, Estado Amazonas, Venezuela crashed into the hillside of El Duida, 20 miles (32 km) from its destination at La Esmeralda airport, killing the 3 crew members.

1 Squadron crashed on take-off at Kandahār International Airport in Afghanistan and the two crew members successfully eject from the aircraft.
