The 2008 Alabama State Hornets football team represented Alabama State University as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) during the 2008 NCAA Division I FCS football season.
Led by second-year head coach Reggie Barlow, the Hornets compiled an overall record of 3–8, with a mark of 2–5 in conference play, and finished third in the SWAC East Division.
