The 2009 Indian general election polls in Kerala were held for 20 seats in the state.

This is the first polls that took place in Kerala after implementation of Delimitation Commission 2002 rrecommendations.

There was significant apportionment of existing constituencies and change of boundaries.

National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) contested in all 20 seats.
