Kansas Wesleyan did start out on top with a 59-yard interception return for a touchdown in the first quarter to take a 6–0 lead, but the final score ended with Lindenwood winning 61–16.

[67] Bethany took the lead in the first quarter with 10:17 on the clock when D'Andre Thompson caught a 12-yard pass from Darby House for a touchdown, but that didn't stop Tabor from attempting a fourth-quarter comeback.

Spurred on by Spencer Brown's 78-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the third quarter, Tabor got the score within three points when James Monroe ran in a two-point conversion with 6:28 remaining in the game.
