2012 Oregon Commissioner of Labor election

Brad Avakian Brad Avakian The 2012 Oregon Commissioner of Labor and Industries election was held on November 6, 2012, in order to elect the Oregon Commissioner of Labor and Industries.

Incumbent Commissioner Brad Avakian was re-elected, defeating State Senator Bruce Starr.

While the position of Labor Commissioner is nonpartisan, Avakian is a Democrat and Starr is a Republican.

Starr challenged the change in date in court, which was subsequently rejected.
