Scott faced Elizabeth Cuevas-Neunder, a conservative activist and candidate for governor in 1998 and Yinka Adeshina, a pharmacist, in the Republican primary.

[1] Scott and López-Cantera faced former Republican governor and independent candidate for Senate in 2010 Democrat Charlie Crist and Annette Taddeo-Goldstein in the general election.

[3] Other candidates include Democrats George Sheldon, former Assistant U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services for Children and Families[4] and Perry E. Thurston, Jr., Minority Leader of the Florida House of Representatives.

Gwen Graham defeated incumbent Steve Southerland in Florida's 2nd congressional district.

Carlos Curbelo defeated incumbent Joe Garcia in Florida's 26th congressional district.
