2014 Men's Hockey World Cup

It was held from 31 May to 15 June 2014 at the Kyocera Stadion in The Hague, Netherlands.

Defending champions Australia won the tournament for the third time after defeating the Netherlands 6–1 in the final.

[3] Argentina won the third place match by defeating England 2–0 to claim their first ever World Cup medal.

[5] Each of the continental champions from five confederations and the host nation received an automatic berth.

In addition to the six highest placed teams at the Semifinals of the 2012–13 FIH Hockey World League not already qualified, the following twelve teams, shown with final pre-tournament rankings, will compete in this tournament.
