The 2014 NCAA Division I women's soccer championship was the 33rd edition of the tournament.
The first round of the tournament began on November 14 and concluded with the College Cup final match at FAU Stadium in Boca Raton, Florida on December 7, 2014.
[1] The Florida State Seminoles defeated the Virginia Cavaliers 1–0 in the final to win their first championship.
[4] The remaining 33 berths are supposed to be determined through an at-large process based upon teams' Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) that did not win their conference tournament.
[4] The NCAA Selection Committee names the top sixteen seeds for the tournament for home field hosting through the quarterfinal matches while teams that do not receive a seed are placed in matches to reduce travel.
