Balite had served several terms as Senior Board Member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP).

Her son, incumbent vice-mayor Louis Thomas Gonzaga is running for mayor unopposed.
Incumbent mayor Natividad Gonzaga is expected to substitute on her son's vacated seat.
