2016 Chicago White Sox season

The White Sox wore a black diamond patch on the uniform in honor of the late Eddie Einhorn, minority owner of the team.

Despite a strong start by the team, they finished the season in fourth place in the American League Central.

The White Sox tied a major league record for most home runs by a losing team when they hit seven homers in a 10–8 defeat to Toronto on June 25.
