Led by 13th-year head coach Jeff Voris, Bulldogs compiled an overall record of 4–7 with a mark of 2–6 in conference play, placing in a three-way tie for seventh in the PFL.

Butler played home games at the Bud and Jackie Sellick Bowl in Indianapolis.

The PFL released their preseason all-PFL team on July 30, 2018, with the Bulldogs having four players selected.
