It was originally scheduled to take place between 13 and 17 May 2020, but was postponed to between 29 August and 2 September 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
[2] It was the sixth edition of the race since its revival in 2015, and was rated as a 2.1 event as part of the 2020 UCI Europe Tour.
The general classification was calculated by adding each cyclist's finishing times on each stage.
The leader of the points classification wore a green jersey, sponsored by Škoda and Europcar.
There was also a mountains classification for which points were awarded for reaching the top of a climb before other riders.
