The championship began on 25 March and ended on 14 May 2022.

Offaly were the defending champions,[1] however they were beaten by Kildare in the Leinster semi-final.

Tyrone won the match by 1–20 to 1–14 to win their sixth title and their first since 2015.

[3] Tyrone's Ruairí Canavan was the championship's top scorer with 1–34.

Canavan was also named U20 Footballer of the Year.
