Qualifying for the championship was open to any professional or amateur golfer who was 50 years of age or over on the start of the tournament on 25 August 2022, however restricted by a certain handicap level.
The final field of 120 players, 37 amateurs and 83 professionals, included 2021 champion Annika Sörenstam.
