The 2022 UT Permian Basin Falcons football team represented the University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB) in the 2022 NCAA Division II football season as a member of the Lone Star Conference (LSC).
The Falcons were led by seventh-year head coach Justin Carrigan.
On November 28, Carrigan announced that he would be stepping down as the program's head coach.
The following day it was announced he would be stepping into an administrative role, being named the university's deputy athletic director.
The team hosted LSC foes Angelo State, Simon Fraser, Midwestern State, and Western New Mexico and traveled to Western Oregon, West Texas A&M, Texas A&M–Kingsville, Eastern New Mexico, and Central Washington.
