Dutch driver Dilano van't Hoff then collided with a barrier.

Without visibility at the circuit, Irish driver Adam Fitzgerald then crashed into the side of the van't Hoff's vehicle, causing it to tear in half.

Van't Hoff was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Compared to the previous edition of the race, Porsche and Ferrari introduced brand-new models, while Lamborghini and McLaren provided the teams with updated kits.
