Both Barrister Murtaza Wahab of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) ran for mayor.

Salman Abdullah Murad and Saifuddin Awan were the PPP and JI's respective candidates for deputy mayor.
