New Mexico's map faced a lawsuit alleging partisan gerrymandering diluting the voting power of Republicans in the 2nd congressional district.
A state judge ruled to keep the current map in place, and that decision was upheld by the New Mexico Supreme Court, with all five justices stating that the congressional map was not an "egregious" gerrymander in a ruling on November 27, 2023.
