The 2025 Rice Owls football team will represent the Rice University in the American Athletic Conference (AAC) during the 2025 NCAA Division I FBS football season.

The Owls will be led by Scott Abell in his first season as the head coach.

The Owls will play their home games at the Rice Stadium, located in Houston, Texas.

The American Athletic Conference announced the 2025 football conference opponents for the Owls on August 15, 2024.

[1][2] The Owls will also compete against four nonconference opponents, rival Houston from the Big 12 Conference, Louisiana from the Sun Belt Conference, Prairie View A&M from the Southwestern Athletic Conference and UConn, who will compete as an independent.
