Wisconsin Question 1 will be a legislatively referred constitutional amendment that will appear on the ballot in the U.S. state of Wisconsin on April 1, 2025.
If passed, the amendment would amend the Constitution of Wisconsin to include a requirement of photo identification to vote.
In 2016, the Wisconsin Legislature passed a law that required photo ID to be displayed before voters would be allowed to vote at a polling location.
[1] Legislation was passed in January to place the measure on the ballot.
The legislation was supported by Republicans, and generally opposed by Democrats.
