204th Division (People's Republic of China)

The 204th Division (Chinese: 第204师) was created in January 1949 under the Regulation of the Redesignations of All Organizations and Units of the Army, issued by Central Military Commission on November 1, 1948, basing on the 18th Brigade, 6th Column of the Huabei Military Region Field Force, which was activated in November 1947.

In June 1951, 203rd Division moved into Korean Peninsula along with the Corps HQ.

[1] It was engaged in defensive operations against UN Forces in summer-fall 1951, during which it suffered heavy casualties.

[3] In March 1955 the division pulled out from North Korea and redeployed in Xuzhou, Jiangsu province.

In April 1970, the division returned to 68th Army Corps' control.
