The group is also the host unit at Hanscom Air Force Base.

The 66th ABG provide services to over 5,000 active duty, Reserve and National Guard military personnel and DoD civilians who work and live at Hanscom Air Force Base.

Additionally, the 66 ABG supports over 100,000 retired military personnel, annuitants and spouses living in the six-state New England area and New York.

The 66th ABG consists of the following: Stations: Maxwell Field, AL, 1 September 1940; Montgomery Airport, AL, 3 October 1940; Santa Maria-Lompoc AAB, CA, 9 February 1943; Barksdale Field, LA, 2 May 1943 – 1 Feb 1944.
