Fazle Karim Chowdhury is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and a former Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Chittagong-6 constituency.
[1] His father, AKM Fazlul Kabir Chowdhury, served as a member of parliament as well as Leader of the Opposition in the East Pakistan Provincial Assembly.
[6] He faced two murder charges that was intentional by his opponent BNP leader; he received acquittal in one and a discharge in another.
[10] Chowdhury was elected to parliament from Chittagong-6 in 2014 and served as a Chairman of the Parliamentary standing committee on the ministry of Railway till 5th august 2024.
Under his period he developed CRB areas, reconstructed some of old building and made gallery for pedestrian and visitor.
In 2018, for the third time in 2018, he won the national award for planting 4 lakh 87 thousand 540 trees in 1 hour in Raozan Upazila.
