The film stars Chicco Kurniawan as a man who suddenly has to take care of his nieces and nephews after the death of his older sister.

An architecture student is unexpectedly left to care for his nieces and nephews after the death of his older sister and her husband, putting his career and love life on hold.

[1] In July 2024, it was announced that Yandy Laurens would direct an adaptation of the 1990s soap opera 1 Kakak 7 Ponakan, created by Arswendo Atmowiloto.

It is the second Atmowiloto's soap opera to be adapted into feature film by Laurens, following Cemara's Family (2018).
