Abdul Rahim Sarban

Abdul Rahim Sārbān (عبدالرحیم ساربان) (1930 – April 2, 1993), better known as Sarban, was an Afghan singer, born in Kabul.

[1] Sarban started his music career in 1952, under the observation of Ustad Farukh Afandi.

Ustad Sarban was the first person to put lyrics to the "Ahesta Bero" anthem played for brides on their wedding day.

[1] Ustad Sarban died away alone, in his home in Peshawar, Pakistan due to illness on April 2, 1993.

14 years after his death (approximately 2007), his body was taken back to Kabul, and he was buried in Shohada-e Saliheen.
