The line then passed on to the London Midland Region of British Railways on nationalisation in 1948.
When sectorisation was introduced, the station was served by Network SouthEast until the privatisation of British Rail.
The Dudding Hill line is still open today, but only carries freight.
All services at Acton Central are operated as the Mildmay line of the London Overground using Class 378 EMUs.
