Adamu Maina Waziri (born 14 September 1952) was appointed Nigerian minister of Police Affairs on 6 April 2010, when Acting President Goodluck Jonathan announced his new cabinet.
He earned a BSc and an MBA from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
In the government, he served on the Students Loans Board, Federal Ministry of Education, and was Special Assistant to the Minister of Agriculture, Senior Special Assistant to the President, Coordinator of the National Poverty Eradication program and Chairman of the Road Safety Commission.
[1] Waziri was the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate for Yobe State Governor in the 2007 elections.
After the election of President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, he was appointed Minister of State in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources.
