Adele Patrick is an artist, feminist and the co-founder of the Glasgow Women's Library.
[2] Her thesis looked at the convergence of gender, feminism, class and ethnicity in the territory of self-fashioning.
[4] In 2015, she was awarded Scotswoman of the Year by the Evening Times in recognition of her work support and preserving the culture and history of women in Scotland and the UK.
[9] Adele Patrick founded the Glasgow Women's Library in 1991,[10] a lending library and repository of many types of historical and contemporary artefacts including Suffragette memorabilia and dress making patterns from the 1930s.
[11] The library is home to more than 20,000 books and 30,000 archival items as well as holding events throughout the year.
