[2] In 2005, Gregory batted .287 with 36 RBI and nine home runs as the starting shortstop on a Texas A&M team that went 47–10 and advanced to NCAA Super Regionals.

According to the USA Today report, the internal review found allegations of physical abuse and racially insensitive comments from Gregory, and 60 percent of surveyed softball athletes gave Gregory negative year-end reviews following the 2018–19 school year.
