Beard (born October 13, 1969)[1] is an American voice actor, storyboard artist, producer, and director.
He provides the voice of Tolkien (Token) Black in South Park, as well as serving as the art director and lead storyboarder on the series.
[2] Beard has won three Primetime Emmy Awards for his work on South Park and has been nominated for two others.
[4] He dropped out of ArtCenter, living in his Volkswagen car while he saved up money to attend California Institute of the Arts.
[4] In 2021, Beard renovated his Altadena, California loft apartment to give a "Neo Afro Eclecticism" aesthetic.
