Agnes Jeruto Barsosio is a Kenyan athlete and marathon runner.
[2] Barsosio was issued with a five year ban from competition by the Athletics Integrity Unit in September 2023 due to a doping violation.
She emerged winner and set a new course record with a time of 1:09:53 after defeating fellow Kenyan female athletes, Rebecca Cheris and Lucy Wangui Kabuu.
This achievement broke the previous record of 1:10:40 set last year by Ashete Bekere of Ethiopia.
[6] In August 2023, Barsosio was provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit under a "Prohibited Substance/Method" violation.
