Agnes Muszyńska

Agnieszka Muszyńska (October 10, 1935 – March 20, 2024) was a Polish-American mechanical engineer specializing in rotordynamics and the vibrations of rotating machinery.

[1][2] From 1961 to 1980, Muszyńska worked as an associate professor in the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, including two years in the mid-1970s as a visiting researcher at the Institut national des sciences appliquées de Lyon in France.

From 1985 to 1989 she also held a part-time affiliation as an associate professor of engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno.

[3] Muszyńska received the Gold Cross of Merit of the Polish Academy of Sciences in 1975.

[2] She was named as an ASME Fellow in 1994, by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
